Virgin Mobile enlisted WCIP to create an experiential presence for their youth homelessness cause, The Regeneration, at the Virgin Mobile Freefest. We produced The Busker Brigade, a group of young street performers that we scouted and assembled from around the US. Buskers flew to our nation's capitol and took to the streets for three days prior to the festival, raising money and awareness in support of the campaign and promoting the event. We collaborated with architecture firm EFGH to design the buskers their own stage at the festival. Crafted entirely out of 300+ street construction cones, the stage became a visual beacon at the festival, drawing large crowds of the 50,000+ attendees to the busker performances.
