LAUNCH OF THE TUNDRA + 4 RUNNER | GEORGIA COUNTRYSIDE

SERVICES: DESIGN + BUILD, PROGRAMMING, PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT, PARTNERSHIPS MANAGEMENT

Toyota tapped We Came In Peace to design and produce the reveal of the all new Tundra and 4Runner in forested hills of rural Georgia. The experience was a crafted narrative around the idealized Tundra owner known as the "weekend outdoorsman" - a city dweller with an adventurous side. The century-old Barnsley Gardens Resort provided a rugged yet refined environment for journalists to explore the vehicles capabilities by day - and enjoy the best of country living by night. Dinner was set outdoors alongside the famous Barnsley manor, served from an outdoor kitchen manned by Atlanta's finest locavore outpost, Empire State South. Journalists enjoyed a family style feast presented on a 40-ft custom built communal farm table, festooned with indigenous greenery, hand-hewn cedar planks, and antique tools. Each night, the farmers that raised the produce for the evening's meal were invited to tell their story, reinforcing the outdoorsman's connection to the land. To cap off the experience, dessert was served under a hidden grapevine canopy - reimagined as a moonshiner's saloon. Guests blended private label whiskies in miniature branded bottles while lounging on hand-built bentwood furniture. Mornings were filled with off-road test drives on the adjacent hunting reserve, and a towing demonstration touting the vehicles power and agility. Rounding out the event, guests had a choice of horseback riding, sporting clay shooting, or fly fishing - all natural habitats of the weekend outdoorsman. Photos by Ernesto Roman.
