Nomia is the lovechild womenswear line of NY-based designer Yara Flynn. For Spring 2011, Nomia took an effortless sport aesthetic and brought it to the downtown streets. Athletic mesh and elastic yielded contoured, feminine forms with a sophisticated future-forward feel. WCIP worked in collaboration with Lightshed , a progressive architecture studio in NYC, to create a visual anchor for the runway show. The result was a gloss on matte white runway complimented by a faceted larger-than-life geode sheathed in seamless white. The surreal, yet minimal backdrop added an artful component to the production and a subtle visual treat to photos of the collection in press coverage.
