ROOM WITH A VIEW
Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 06:12PM
Ever need to dream inside a mirrored cube suspended in the trees? Look no further... this boutique structure is stunning, simple, ingenious, semi-invisible and yes, bird-safe thanks to a thin infrared film on the outer walls visible only to feathered friends. Nestled near the Arctic Circle, this is one of a series of one of a kind stand-alone structures in a unique system of nature-oriented hotels. Plywood on the inside, and mirrored aluminum on the outside, the unit provides 360-degree views (albeit through smallish windows) from a few stories up in the air – not a bad way to spend the weekend watching wildlife.
