The set comprises a coffee pot, tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl with cover and tray. Donald Colflesh was a recent graduate of Pratt Institute when he designed this set in 1958.
Greetings from sunny Palm Springs, CA!

The above images capture the magical, site-specific installations created for Microsoft Office 365, as a part of the "Future of Productivity" project at TED Active 2013. WCIP worked alongside TED and Microsoft to create a series of environments where productivity happens in a whole new way, perfectly integrated into the gorgeous desert oasis surrounding the conference.

A full image gallery of all WCIP-designed TED Active Project Activations is coming soon, so stay tuned!

WCIP took a wild ride to the West Coast this past Saturday, with copilots Interview Magazine and Lincoln Motor Company for the launch of their "Hello Again" campaign at the 2013 IFC Film Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles.

Guided by Interview's iconic editorial style, WCIP reimagined Andy Warhol's workspace, the Factory, introducing Lincoln's new brand intiative to the world. The installation was built over 5 days in a beachside tent - custom elements included over 100 linear feet of silver metallic walls, an oversized rotating box of chocolates, WCIP-designed chandeliers inspired by race track designs, and a hand painted red-and-white soup can wall.

Guests melted into the industrial luxe environment, soaking in the live feed of the Spirit Awards on velveted deco couches, and whimsical mod found furniture. A polaroid powered photobooth captured the all action as it happened, providing guests instant memories - and their 15 minutes of fame.

Printed Optics enable sensing, display, and illumination elements to be directly embedded in the body of an interactive device. Using these elements, unique display surfaces, novel illumination techniques, custom optical sensors, and robust embedded components can be digitally fabricated for rapid, high fidelity, customized interactive devices.

A HALLWAY CLAD IN SILVER FOR JOHN HARDY

In preparation for Market Week, fine jeweler John Hardy tapped WCIP to produce an epic 40-foot hallway installation at their NYC headquarters, using over 10,000 linear feet of silvered rope suspended from above. These handpainted strands featured a two-tone paint process inspired by the meticulous hand craftmanship that defines John Hardy's pieces - all made by hand in Bali.

To prepare Manhattan for the opening of the newest flagship store on 5th Avenue, Ted Baker unleashed an army of British maids and butlers to "tidy up" NYC.

Lo Siento, a Barcelona-based design collective has created a set of 4D letters, readable from all sides. Created from simple white cardstock, the designers describe the project thusly:

4D Typography is the result of the intersection in an orthogonal way in space of two extrusions of the same character, which allows the spectator to read it from two different positions in space at least.

An observer searching to enjoy a particular architecture is forced to move around and through it. The change in perspective generates new spaces in which light acts in different ways. In this case, it is the typography that makes the effort of abandoning its two dimensions to approach the architectural sense. It does not resign with a third dimension; a fourth one is necessary to complete the reading possibilities. By hanging the typography, the reader is allowed to surround the characters in order to understand all their shapes.
